Lil Wayne Has Not Heard ‘Watch The Throne’ And Is Not Satisfied With Nicki Minaj’s Work
As we know, Lil Wayne was featured on the front cover of VIBE magazine’s October/November issue that is currently on newsstands now. If you haven’t already picked up the magazine, then here are a few more excerpts from Weezy‘s interview that you can read, courtesy of Complex.
http://www.lilwaynehq.com/2011/10/20/lil-waynes-full-interview-with-gq-magazine/On Watch The Throne:
“I haven’t heard the album. I’ll probably never hear the album.”On Nicki Minaj:
“I’m not satisfied with anything she’s done. I believe she can do a whole lot more, and I believe she will do a whole lot more. It’s not shocking, and it’s not surprising. It’s quite fitting. But other than that, it’s nowhere near the end.”On dealing with the tabloids:
“You don’t deal with it. You deal with life. You deal with what’s really going on and what’s really real—that’s your four kids, that’s your mother, that’s your family, that’s the people around you. You don’t deal with what people are saying.'' FOR FULL INTERVIEW
WEBBIE TELLS TERRENCE J...''GET YO HOE MANE''
Webbie and Terrence J. have been beefing since his last appearance on “106th and Park,” and it looks like Webbie finally got a clue and decided that he should step up and let everyone know what the situation was really about on the show.
The rapper went on air with “The Morning Riot” to defend himself against what everyone is saying was a sexual advance toward the show’s co-host Rocsi Diaz… we think?
It’s easy to get confused on this one, because Webbie either doesn’t have a clue what he’s saying, or he literally truly believes this is some sort of an explanation. Our translation: Webbie thinks Terrence was making a personal attack at Webbie because he and Rocsi used to have a relationship (according to Webbie).
“It ain’t nothing against me and BET. BET, I love BET, I’ve been watching BET all my life. I am BET, BET is black entertainment, you know what I’m saying? That was some personal stuff, you know with Rocsi and Terrence you know, that’s his old lady I guess.Go look at the computer, look at the Vibe Magazine and that’s what happened. Look, look, look, that Vibe Magazine picture, that’s what happened. My album November 15. Savage Life 3.“I knew her before I made ‘Bad B–ch’, ‘Gimme that P—y’ before I started making rap, I don’t know Terrence. I didn’t never know her personally, I just know how we live, where we live and that’s that. The picture just explains it all. I just say Terrence, get yo ho mane! Mane get yo ho mane, get yo ho mane, that yo ho, that ain’t got nothing to do with me and BET, this ain’t got nothing to do with the millions of kids that I say stay in school. I make sure to say stay in school.”
Take a listen to Webbie talking a whole lot of mess below, see if you can decipher his rant.
WE DONT BELIEVE U !!!!!....50 Cent Doesn’t Believe Lil Wayne’s First-Week Sales
50 Cent thinks there’s something fishy behind the platinum-plus sales of Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV album.
“To be honest with you, the Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me,” 50 told Global Grind. “Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn’t do a million copies, it was like 900,000. Tha Carter III commanded that energy, but the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny.”
This comes after ’Fif threw darts at Weezy on his “Love, Hate, Love” off his Street King Energy Series saying: “Acting like a white boy bored, now you wanna jump a flight of stairs on a skateboard/Nigga, why the fuck ya pants so tight?/You trying to show niggas your ass, your alternative life.”
50 says his next album will be out before the year ends. —Jakinder Singh
J. Cole Defends His “Party” Verse: ‘When You Follow In Andre 3000 Shoes, You Are Expected To Go In’
A lot of people have been bitching about Andre 3000 being replaced with J. Cole in the video version of Beyonce’s “Party.” It’s not that people don’t like J. Cole, they’re just generally concerned with why Andre was removed and if J. Cole made enough impact on the song.
Well, in a recent interview with Deanna Cruz and Vezzy Parmesan of Rhode Island/Massachusetts’s Hot 106 Rise and Grind Morning Show, Jermaine revealed that he wrote a few verses for the song before 4 even came out, and that Beyonce chose the verse that she felt was best for the song.
Do you know how many verses I did for that song? I did a version before her album even came out. I did two verses and I love those verses too but they ended up going with Andre’s verse and Andre killed it. Then she reached out to me and wanted me to get on the remix. Out of the second set I did, she picked the first one, but [I liked] my second verse–I just got to say for the record–but it was too long. I think she was looking for something shorter and more to the point. But it’s a blessing to even to be able to work with Beyonce.
I’m on my defensive rapper because when you follow in Andre 3000 shoes, you’re expected to really go in, so that’s why I say that about getting defensive. But just the fact to be on the song with her and then to be shooting that video with her, being in her presence and she’s such a hard working and incredible artist, that’s a blessing. I will never forget that day we shot the video, I’ll never forget being on that song and hopefully we get more as time goes on, so shout out to Beyonce.

Mobb Deep Talk 50 Cent's Reaction To Them Working W/Officer Ricky, Being Open To Working W/Jay-Z, Lil Wayne Contacting Prodigy In Prison & Future Collaborations With J. Cole & Wayne [Videos]
Mobb Deep's re-introduction to the world is coming November 25, in the form of their new Black Cocaine EP.
"We're doing the EP first just to give 'em a little appetizer, a little warm up project before the album drop. And the album is coming right behind it at the end of February," Prodigy told MTVhost, Sway.
Although the music landscape has changed dramatically in the last several years, Havoc says you can expect the same infamous sound from the group.
"We are who we are," he explained. "We're not really trying to fit in. We just us... that's who we are in today's hip hop environment. We not trying to do what everybody else is doing. We doing what works for us. I think people can appreciate that on a certain level, even if you're into a Drake and your Weezy's and all of this. When you look at us you go 'oh that's a brand we all know and can trust."
The duo purposely kept the the features light on Black Cocaine. Choosing to work only with Nas andBounty Killa.
"We got Nas on there. We got Bounty Killa, that's about it because it's a warm up project so we didn't want to put too many features on there.," Prodigy said. "We worked with Nas because that's the home team. I know people miss hearing that Mobb Deep/ Nas collaboration, because every time we do a song, it always comes out real good and stands the test of time, always. So when I got out we reached out to him and made that happen."
Many people were surprised when Mobb Deep linked up with Roc Nation artist Jay Electronica for the song "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," given their history of beef with his boss, Jay-Z.
That old beef has been put to bed apparently because the duo is now open to recording with Hov.
"We was at Jay's studio when we recorded that [Call of Duty]," P says. "I was on the phone with J. Cole the next day congratulating him on his album and all that. We're supposed to be doing some work together too. Tell Jay to get in the studio. He gotta come to Infamous Studios in Queens though. Everything else is irrelevant... all the feelings, dudes wanna act feminine; put that to the side man."
One collaboration that is in the works is a Mobb Deep/Officer Ricky record. Illuminati P explains how that came about and what 50 Cent's reaction to it was.
"I'mma be honest; we come from an era of longevity and consistency. So in the beginning I didn't really see that in him [Officer Ricky]. And then when I was locked up I started seeing he was dropping more and more music. I was like 'damn, I'm starting to like this dude.' That's when I was like when we need to holla at son and do some music," Prodigy explained.
P says he and 50 talked about the collaboration, and the G-Unit boss didn't object.
"Actually the first day I had came home, 50 had flew to New York to come see me. And I went over to the G-Unit office and I told him 'Mobb Deep need to start doing songs with everybody. We need to start reaching out to people even if we got little conflicts," P said. "People like Rick Ross, people like Lil Wayne, people like whoever. Just reaching out to everybody that we respect and we like their music and start doing songs with them. Because Mobb Deep is the type of group we always do songs with other regions, or other parts of America, even overseas. We always like to find artists we like and respect and do songs with them. Why stop now? And {50 Cent] was like 'yeah, you right.'"
It's been well documented that Prodigy spent three years in prison on gun charges. He was released in March 2011. At one point both he and Lil Wayne were locked up at the same time in separate prisons. P said the two kept in touch and that they plan on working together in the future.
"While was both locked up we was in communications with each other. He mad a little quote for me on my autobiography, on the cover of the book. So, we supposed to be doing some music in the future."
